Zarreen Alam-Cheetham secures community order in section 20 unlawful wounding case

Zarreen Alam-Cheetham from Exchange Chambers has secured a community order for a woman charged with section 20 unlawful wounding.

The woman was charged after throwing a glass which hit an innocent bystander on the head.

As the defendant is a student nurse, a custodial sentence would have likely resulted in the loss of her future career in line with Nursing and Midwifery Council guidelines on criminal convictions.
