Will Waldron QC and Chris Allen secure £3.15 million settlement
March 19, 2021
Will Waldron QC and Chris Allen from Exchange Chambers have successfully negotiated a £3.15 million settlement for a Claimant with serious polytrauma and internal injuries. Whilst this settlement seems unusually large for a Claimant who had not suffered an amputation or a brain injury, it does reflect the severity of his injuries and it ensures that the Claimant’s long term needs are provided for.
Chris Allen said of the case: “This is a very satisfactory resolution for the Claimant who has shown remarkable tenacity since his devastating accident. It has been a real pleasure to have acted on his behalf. Another significant aspect of this case was that settlement was achieved without the need to commence court proceedings and without the Defendant obtaining a single expert report of their own. It demonstrates that true and genuine collaboration can achieve very favourable outcomes for all concerned. This approach spared the Claimant the ordeal of protracted and potentially hostile litigation whilst no doubt saving the tortfeasors insurance company considerable sums”
Will Waldron QC and Chris Allen are both members of the Personal Injury team at Exchange Chambers and were instructed by Michael Dutton of Carpenters Solicitors.
