Wayne Jackson successfully defends client in rape trial

Wayne Jackson from Exchange Chambers has successfully defended his client in a trial at Bolton Crown Court involving allegations of rape and assault by penetration.
The offences had allegedly followed on from a “sexting” relationship commenced in September 2014 and culminating in a complaint being made on Valentine’s Day 2014. After a five day trial at Bolton Crown Court, the client was acquitted of both charges. Wayne Jackson was instructed by Garstangs Cartwright King in Bolton.
Wayne Jackson is an established criminal law practitioner. In addition to a particularly strong fraud practice, he has also amassed considerable experience in defending all manner of offences of a serious sexual nature such as rape, offences of serious violence and large scale drugs importation conspiracies. He has been junior counsel in numerous murder cases and successfully defended his first manslaughter case as a junior, alone, in 1989.
