Steven Fennell shortlisted for Insolvency Barrister of the Year Award

Steven Fennell from Exchange Chambers has been shortlisted for the prestigious Insolvency Barrister of the Year Award at the Turnaround, Restructuring & Insolvency (TRI) Awards 2016.
Formerly known as the Insolvency & Rescue (I&R) Awards, the renamed TRI Awards reflect the critical work that is now prevalent across the profession – particularly in turnaround and restructuring.
Now in its ninth year, the scheme continues to champion experts undertaking outstanding work in corporate rescue, as well as those making critical investments in distressed and struggling businesses.
The winners of the insolvency barrister of the year award and all the others will be announced on 19 October 2016 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
Steven has extensive experience of insolvency practice and litigation. He qualified as an insolvency practitioner in 1999 and held an insolvency licence from 2000 until his transfer to the Bar in 2014. Steven has been the moderator of the JIEB Administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements and Receiverships paper since 2008. Steven contributes chapters to Tolleys Insolvency Law and Practice and has published numerous articles on insolvency. He also specialises in commercial, professional negligence and regulatory matters for the legal and accountancy professions.
