Simon Lewis and Chloe Fordham appointed to national sports disciplinary panel

Simon Lewis and Chloe Fordham from Exchange Chambers have been appointed to the disciplinary panel for England Boxing.

The panel deals with matters to be heard under the England Boxing disciplinary procedures at a national, regional and club level.  Panel members manage and determine disciplinary cases brought against boxers, coaches, officials, volunteers and those with parental responsibility.  As legally qualified members, Simon and Chloe are likely to chair the panel at formal hearings.

This recent appointment complements Simon Lewis’ practice in employment and equality law, in particular, and his interest in professional disciplinary matters.  Simon will continue to act as an independent statutory Case Examiner regarding fitness to practise allegations brought by the General Optical Council.

Alongside her high-profile criminal practice, Chloe Fordham appears regularly at the Medical Practitioners’ Tribunal. Chloe’s recent appointment to England Boxing’s Disciplinary Panel represents the further development of her practice into the areas of professional and sports discipline.
