Annual Construction Seminar 2025 – Leeds
We are pleased to invite you to our Annual Construction and Engineering Law Review to be held in our Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester Chambers on the 6th, 7th and 8th of May 2025.

9.15 – 9.45 Simon Whitfield on the use of expert evidence in construction disputes and issues arising from replacement experts and expert “shopping”. Adjudication enforcement and when the court will permit Part 7 enforcement proceedings and Part 8 challenges to the adjudication decision to be heard together.
9.45 – 10.15 James Malam on reliance on impecuniosity as a basis for resisting the enforcement of an adjudicator’s decision.
10.15 – 10.45 Break: Coffee and breakfast
10.45 – 11.15 Adam Beaumont on what are the requirements for a variation instruction, the implication of terms against the background of the contractual provisions, and limitations to the recovery of damages.
11.15 – 11.45 David Fearon on other recent cases of interest.
