Account Freezing Orders – A new toy for Christmas

We are delighted to announce our free Criminal Seminar on account freezing orders being held on 28th February 2019 in our Manchester Chambers with Rupert Bowers QC, a door tenant from our Criminal Department.

AFO’s were brought in by the Criminal Finances Act of 2017 which amended POCA to introduce this new summary procedure. With proceedings being brought in the Magistrates’ Court, and with seemingly easy money to be gained, these orders have become immediately fashionable with the investigating authorities. This talk looks at the issues involved, and how such orders may be challenged.

Coffee and registration will be held from 16:00 – 16:30 with the talks finishing at 17:30 with drinks to follow.
