Record half year performance for Exchange Chambers
October 4, 2016
Exchange Chambers has announced record half year turnover of £13.65 million.
The Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds based Set is on target to exceed last year’s turnover of £25.7 million, having continued its ongoing expansion strategy in recent months.
“Chambers has performed strongly over the first half of the financial year with all departments playing their part,” said Director of Chambers, Tom Handley. “We have a proven track record in all major areas of law.”
Exchange Chambers currently has 166 members, including 16 silks. If the Set grows at its projected rate, it will have over 200 members within the next 3 years.
Continued Tom Handley:
“As one of the country’s largest Sets, the multi-disciplinary nature of Chambers enables us to pass on the economies of scale to both our barristers and our clients.
“By embracing modern working practices we are also able to increase revenue and minimise costs. Members receive instructions on the very highest quality work and also benefit from the option of flexible contributions. This combination is fuelling our growth and attracting applications from barristers throughout the country.”
In a further boost, Exchange Chambers has secured its highest ever rankings in the newly released Legal 500, where it is described as a “regional powerhouse” and praised for its “great depth of experience and expertise at all levels.”
Exchange Chambers has also been shortlisted for Regional Set of the Year at the Chambers UK Bar Awards.
