Rachel Coyle successful in a heated adverse possession claim involving historic land in the countryside to Snowdonia

Rachel Coyle from Exchange Chambers has been successful in a heated adverse possession claim involving historic land in the countryside to Snowdonia.

Rachel’s clients applied for adverse possession. The judge directed that they be registered as owners after agreeing with Miss Coyle that the Respondent did not give permission to them to be on the land and the Applicants’ evidence of use over time was not insignificant. They installed gates, hardstanding, removed fences and incorporated it with their garden, along with other acts.
