The selection process and how to apply


For Pupillage 2025 and 2026:

Exchange Chambers is not a member of the Pupillage Gateway – we manage the application process ourselves. Applications must be made on Chambers’ own application form.

Following consideration of your application, you will be invited to a first round interview. If successful, candidates will be invited to the second round interview shortly afterwards. We aim to make any offer of pupillage as soon as practicable after the decision has been made.

 

What are your upcoming opportunities?


Our upcoming Pupillage opportunities are as follows:

September 2025:  One Crime pupil in Leeds

September 2026:

        • One Crime pupil in each city (Three in total) commencing September 2026
        • One Business & Property pupil commencing September 2026
        • One Family pupil commencing September 2026
        • One Common Law pupil commencing September 2026

 

Pupillage timetable

  • The application form will be live (open) on our website on Thursday 2 January at 11am.
  • Applications will close on Thursday 6 February at 11.59pm.
  • First round interviews to take place in our Liverpool Chambers on Saturday 22 March 2025.
  • Second round interviews to take place in our Manchester Chambers on Saturday 5 April 2025.
  • Offers will be made on Friday 9 May 2025 (from 9.30am).
