Police Misconduct Hearing success for Julian King

A police officer (PC A) represented by Julian King from Exchange Chambers, faced a 4 day misconduct hearing at South Yorkshire Police, Professional Standards Department in Sheffield. The hearing convened on 11.1.21.
PC A faced allegations concerning the use of force and discreditable conduct, when dealing with a member of the public inside a Mosque in Rotherham. An application to dismiss was made ahead of the hearing, encompassing all allegations made against the officer. The Appropriate Authority withdrew the case against the officer in its entirety, on day 1 of the hearing. The case was therefore formally dismissed.
