Inquests
Stuart has a growing inquest practice, acting mostly for families but also for government departments and local authorities. He often acts in cases where civil proceedings are anticipated, including cases involving alleged clinical negligence in particular. In appropriate cases he will act on a CFA or pro bono to ensure that families are not left to face the inquest process alone.
Cases
2022 – acted for the family of a baby who sadly died following a failure to identify Group A Streptococcus during the pregnancy and a delay in the decision for a category 1 Caesarean section. A finding of neglect was made by the Coroner.
