The General Medical Council appointed Stephen to its panel of advocates in 2014 and regularly instructs him to appear particularly in relation to Fitness to Practise hearings.
Stephen is a well-regarded criminal and regulatory practitioner, noted for his general criminal work and particularly in fraud work, for which he has consistently been ranked as a Leading Junior by Chambers and Partners.
With a wealth of experience in complex and expert heavy litigation, Stephen has attracted instructions by multi-billion pound corporations in health and safety prosecutions in which medical causation has been at issue and in general crime, cases of medical complexity including non-accidental head injury of an infant.
Stephen has been allocated the highest rank by the Crown Prosecution Service (Grade 4) for several years and is included on their specialist rape and serious sexual offending panel.
