Personal Injury: Defence


Paul has extensive experience representing Defendants and their insurers in fast track and multi-track personal injury litigation in the RTA, OL, EL and PL contexts. He has particular experience in cases involving orthopaedic injuries, scarring, respiratory illness, dermatological conditions and psychiatric illness. His wide range of cases regularly involve assessing complex written / oral expert evidence and difficult issues of medical causation.

Paul is keen to support professional and lay clients throughout a case, and undertakes all aspects of drafting, conferences, JSM and advocacy / CCMC / trial work. Paul receives instructions from a range of private client firms and organisations including local authorities, social housing providers and their insurers. He has advised and represented the Department for Work and Pensions and Ministry of Defence in personal injury litigation pleaded up to £1 million.

Paul sits as a Recorder (civil) and as a Legally Qualified Chair at the Medical Practitioners’ Tribunal Service.
