Natasha is ranked by the legal directories as a leading junior in Indirect Tax, Administrative and Public Law, Immigration and Civil Liberties and Human Rights. Recent directory comments have included ‘I am trying and failing to think of a better junior’, ‘superb on her feet’, ‘an excellent drafter’ and a ‘pleasure to work with’. The Court of Appeal commended her as ‘outstandingly able’ following a two day tax appeal.
Natasha has a broad indirect tax and public law practice. She acts for a wide spectrum of clients in high value tax disputes including individuals, companies, public authorities and government departments. She has also been instructed in many of the most high profile judicial reviews in the last few years including:
- the challenge to the introduction of VAT on private school fees;
- the winter fuel payments case;
- the ban on prescribing puberty blockers to transgender children;
- the Rwanda deportation challenge; and
- the Government’s challenge to the Covid Inquiry’s decision to require disclosure of Ministers’ WhatsApp messages.
She regularly appears before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, the Administrative Court and the Tribunals (Tax and Immigration Chambers), often as sole counsel. She is a member of the Attorney General’s A Panel.
