Kyra was called to the Bar in 2011. She is a talented junior and has a well-established criminal practice.
Kyra is a member of the specialist Panel who represent the General Medical Council and is regularly instructed in disciplinary proceedings against members of the medical profession in a range of complex and often sensitive hearings.
Cases
GMC v Dr G – Fitness to Practice proceedings concerning the doctor’s multiple convictions for sexual offences and Computer Misuse Act offences carried out over an 8 year period.
GMC v Dr V – Fitness to Practice review following misconduct findings relating to creating false prescriptions in patient’s names for personal use by the doctor. Particular focus on expert evidence on the current health of practitioner and their opioid dependence.
GMC v Dr D – Fitness to Practice proceedings relating to convictions for violence in a domestic setting.
GMC v Dr P – Fitness to Practice Review following misconduct findings and diagnosis of alcohol dependence.
GMC v Dr S – Fitness to Practice proceedings relating to allegations of misconduct through dishonestly claiming payment for work carried out through the Waiting List Initiative during contracted hours at a hospital.
