James has a busy clinical negligence practice. He welcomes instructions to advise and act on a broad range of clinical negligence matters and cases in the Coroner’s court.
Recent experience includes:
- An inquest where he assisted the representation of a GP, following the death of a child, following complications arising from a congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
- Hospital trust’s delayed recognition of a colo-pleural fistula leading to death.
- Failure to identify an increased acetabular inversion on imaging and negligent hip surgery.
- Delayed diagnosis of Stage 4A cervical cancer.
- Delayed diagnosis of Stage 5 Kidney failure in a child.
- Delayed diagnosis of lung cancer resulting in reduced life expectancy.
