Overview

Georgia began her commercial pupillage in September 2024. She is under the supervision of Lawrence McDonald and James Malam.

Georgia intends to pursue a broad commercial and chancery practice, encompassing property (residential and commercial), insolvency (personal and corporate), and commercial litigation.

During her first six, Georgia has been involved in numerous High Court and County Court matters including but not limited to:

  • Assisting counsel in a 6-day trial concerning an Unfair Prejudice Petition.
  • Observing King’s Counsel in a 2-day £2 million strike out/ summary judgment application.
  • Observing King’s Counsel (for the Applicant) in a 1-day application for interim injunctive relief restraining breach of non-solicitation clauses.
  • Observing a range of hearings closer to Georgia’s level of call, including winding-up petitions, insolvency applications, possession hearings, small claims hearings, directions hearings, and CCMCs.

Georgia also has experience assisting counsel in drafting skeleton arguments, opinions, particulars of claim, defences and orders on a wide range of complex insolvency, commercial and property matters.

Before coming to the Bar, Georgia worked for Young Citizens, a national charity which aims to help young people understand the UK legal system, to increase their access to the legal profession and to develop employability skills. Georgia remains passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion at the Bar.
