Practice Overview
Since joining chambers in 2019, Eddison has developed a thriving criminal practice across the north-east and northern circuits, prosecuting and defending some of the most serious offences. He demonstrates experience beyond his year of call having secured acquittals in serious matters of rape and sexual offending; whilst securing convictions in cases resulting in “double digit” sentences.
Eddison has demonstrated his ability to assist in some of the most serious offences, having been led by King’s Counsel in a 9-week long murder case involving numerous experts. Equally, he has demonstrated his advocacy ability by acting for defendants in large scale fraud and regulatory trials.
Eddison looks to forge strong relationships with his professional and lay clients from an early stage in proceedings and attempts to do this through early engagement in conference. He has been nationally ranked in the legal 500 for the last two years, with his colleagues pointing out his willingness to take on complex arguments and ensure cases are prepared diligently.
Over the last few years Eddison has developed a burgeoning regulatory practice being instructed for one of the lead defendants in a large RSPCA prosecution for “puppy farming”. Similarly, last year he managed to secure an acquittal in a multi-million found waste management case prosecuted by the Environment Agency.
