Practice Overview

Andrew is an experienced advocate whose practice covers the spectrum of work within the Business and Property arena. He has a particular emphasis on commercial litigation along with insolvency, property and related professional liability matters.

Andrew prides himself on his attention to detail and ability to respond to the needs of each client. He places particular emphasis on providing the best practical and commercial solutions to legal problems as well as a comprehensive legal analysis. In every case he strives to get to the heart of the issue and deal with it in a robust and commercially focused manner. He is adept at dealing with injunctive and other pre-emptive relief and all interim matters where the same are required.

He is comfortable working collaboratively as part of a wider team to achieve the desired result. He has experience of acting as a leading junior and he regularly appears against leading counsel.

Winning plaudits in the legal directories consistently since 2007, Andrew has drawn praise for his “academic brilliance” as well as giving “very good, practical advice” and being “frighteningly efficient, very clever and reading a case well.” His advocacy is described as “robust and to the point” and Andrew as a “well-prepared, calm and effective advocate who gets his point across succinctly.”

Andrew has appeared at every level of court up to and including the Court of Appeal as well as in various forms of Tribunal. He has experience of complex arbitrations and regularly attends mediations (whether single or multi-day) on the part of clients.

A member of the Attorney General’s Regional panel since 2015, Andrew has been on the A Panel since its inception and regularly deals with company, insolvency and property matters in that role. He was appointed to the Legal Services Panel of the Government of the Virgin Islands in 2024.
