Andrew is an experienced practitioner in the field of inquests and public inquiries having represented bereaved families, trade unions, government bodies, local authorities and the emergency services in lengthy and complex investigations into unexplained deaths.
He provides guidance, advice and representation throughout the entire process, from the first contact with the coroner and pre-inquest stages such as attending conferences and pre-inquest reviews, through the forensic overview of medical evidence and records and to the final hearing.
Andrew’s experience covers a wide range of areas including:
- Company negligence under health and safety legislation
- Fatal accidents at work relating to equipment and the workplace
- Inquests arising out of road traffic fatalities
- Local authority / social services related deaths
His expertise covers inquests with and without jurors, while he is also able to advise on potential civil claims for damages post-inquest.
