Natasha Khalique shortlisted for Community Champion Award
December 20, 2024
Natasha Khalique from Exchange Chambers has been shortlisted for the Community Champion award at the Manchester Resolution Awards 2025.
Resolution is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. Founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers, the group believes that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues produces better outcomes for separating families and their children.
Through her expertise, passion, and commitment to justice, Natasha Khalique is breaking down barriers, empowering vulnerable groups and driving change.
Natasha, who won the Rising Star of the Year Award at Resolution’s national awards earlier this year, is a trailblazer in championing the rights of neurodivergent individuals within the legal system. The Rising Star Award recognizes “an emerging talent who has demonstrated their potential as a future leader of family justice”. Identifying the systemic barriers faced by this community, earlier this year Natasha created and released a powerful video sharing her personal journey as a neurodiverse professional. This courageous act of vulnerability not only humanised the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals but also educated people by breaking down stigma and fostering understanding.
Natasha’s efforts have also led to widespread recognition of her as a champion for the neurodivergent community. She has been invited to join the prestigious FLANC Advisory Committee. Through this platform, Natasha is influencing national conversations about neurodivergence in family law. More locally, Natasha is in ongoing discussions with the judiciary about neurodivergence in the legal system.
Congratulating Natasha, Jonathan I’Anson, Chief Executive at Exchange Chambers said:
“Natasha’s efforts are paving the way for a more inclusive family justice system and legal profession, empowering aspiring lawyers to advocate for systemic change and ensuring clients. We are thrilled she has been shortlisted for this award.”
The Manchester Resolution Awards take place at the Lowry Hotel on 30 January 2025.
