Michael Lavery and David Birrell secure acquittal after year-long fraud trial

Michael Lavery and David Birrell from Exchange Chambers have secured an acquittal for their client following a high profile fraud trial that ran for over 12 months.

The case involved over 100,000 pages of evidence. There were multiple allegations relating to transactions totalling almost £10 million. Of the 7 defendants, their client was the only one to be acquitted.

Owing to reporting restrictions, the details of the case cannot be published at this stage. In due course, the case is likely to attract national media attention.
