Lisa Linklater KC keynote speaker at Reforming Corporate Insolvency Law for the 21st Century conference

Lisa Linklater KC from Exchange Chambers has been announced as a keynote speaker at the Reforming Corporate Insolvency Law for the 21st Century conference at Lancaster Castle on Friday 28 March 2025. The other keynote speakers are Mr Paul Bannister, Head of Policy, The Insolvency Service and Mr Jag Saroe, Head of Special Situations, Chief Executive Division, The Insolvency Service.

The conference, organised by Dr John Wood from Lancaster University, is generously supported through the subject sections fund at the Society of Legal Scholars and Lancaster University. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for academics and practitioners to examine current issues and practices that concern insolvency law.

Lisa Linklater KC’s presentation is entitled ‘The BHS litigation and beyond – the interplay between wrongful trading and the creditor duty’.

The broader aims of the conference are to facilitate ongoing interest in insolvency by bringing academics, practitioners and policy makers together to examine insolvency law from a holistic perspective, create ongoing networking opportunities to broaden collaborative opportunities and promote the significance of insolvency law.
