Chris Richards and Harriet Hartshorn speak at Legal Cheek careers events
April 11, 2018
Chris Richards, a junior member of Exchange Chambers, and current pupil Harriet Hartshorn recently took part in two Secrets to Success careers events hosted by Legal Cheek in association with the University of Law.
The Secrets to Success events, in Manchester and Leeds, covered a wide range of topics including technology, education, training, diversity and wider commercial awareness. They also discussed how lawyers need to think about innovation in a broader way that takes into account what law firms’ clients want, while also focusing on qualities like resilience and adaptability, as they prepare to enter the legal profession.
Exchange Chambers was the only barristers’ Chambers represented at the events, which were chaired by Legal Cheek Publisher, Alex Aldridge. Chris and Harriet were invited to attend as panellists alongside other speakers from Pinsent Masons, Irwin Mitchell, Berwin Leighton Paisner, Fletchers and Womble Bond Dickinson. The panel sessions were followed by a mini law fair and networking opportunity.
