Leading silk joins Exchange Chambers

Exchange Chambers has continued its expansion by welcoming leading silk, Simon Gorton QC, as a new member.
Simon was called to the Bar in 1988 and took silk in 2011. He joins Exchange from Atlantic Chambers. He also remains practising from Old Square Chambers, London.
Specialising in all aspects of employment law, Simon is consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK as a leader in his field.
He attracts diverse clients from corporations, company directors, hospital trusts, trade unions, public bodies, doctors and private individuals.
Simon handles all types of employment disputes in the High Court, Employment Tribunal, EAT and the Court of Appeal for employers, employees, Directors and shareholders. He recently represented a former LIBOR currency trader in High Court litigation based on a Malik claim. The action included a £1billion counterclaim.
Simon also specialises in high value personal injury claims (acquired brain and spinal injuries as well as complex psychiatric cases).
Exchange Chambers has welcomed a number of new members and increased its silk count in recent months.
In November 2020, the Set welcomed a 14-strong family law team from Chavasse Court Chambers.
In December 2020, four members of Exchange – Mark Rhind, Giles Maynard-Connor, Imran Shafi and David Temkin – were appointed as new Queen’s Counsel.
Exchange Chambers now has 193 members, including 17 silks.
