Barristers, clerks and staff at Exchange Chambers have helped to raise an impressive £28,500 for North West childrens’ charities in a team cycling challenge.
The multi-disciplinary Set took part in Le Tour D’Exchange, a two day, 150 kilometre bike ride which took place in June. Le Tour D’Exchange covered three cities Exchange Chambers is based in, with the cyclists starting in Liverpool, moving on to Manchester and then finishing in Leeds. All of the money raised has been split equally between Claire House (Wirral), Francis House (Manchester) and Martin House (Wetherby).
The team is delighted with the massive amount of help and support that has gone into raising this money for the childrens’ hospices over the last few months and the total raised will pay for over ten months of care for children and young people with life limiting medical conditions as well as providing support for their families.
Commenting on Le Tour D’Exchange, Stephen Connolly, barrister at Exchange Chambers said:
“We have been overwhelmed by all the support from everyone for our Le Tour D’Exchange challenge. It’s been a great experience, and more importantly, we’ve raised a significant amount of money for three very deserving hospices.
“The team at Exchange Chambers, as well as support from our sponsors, has been outstanding and I’d like to thank everyone who took part.”
