Julian King successfully defends Constable in Merseyside Police Misconduct Hearing

Julian King from Exchange Chambers has successfully represented a Police Constable in a 3-day Misconduct hearing.

During the hearing held at Merseyside Police Headquarters, PC L was accused of conducting an investigation without a policing purpose. It was alleged his actions amounted to gross misconduct in respect of his investigation and use of intelligence. Over the three days, the officer faced allegations of breaches the Standards of Professional Behaviour, including Confidentiality, Orders & Instructions and Discreditable Conduct.

At the conclusion of the hearing the Panel found the allegations were not proved and made no findings against the Officer.
