Exchange Chambers has continued its expansion by welcoming Julian King as a new member.
Julian, who was called to the Bar in 2013, joins Exchange Chambers from St John’s Buildings. Before becoming a barrister, he spent 20 years working in policing.
Julian specialises in Regulatory Law (with particular expertise in police disciplinary proceedings), Inquests and Crime. He has a detailed knowledge of serious crime, with specific experience in the fields of fraud and corporate crime.
Julian prosecutes and defends a wide range of cases in the Crown Court and Magistrates Court, with a particular emphasis in fraud. Before joining the Bar, he was a specialist fraud investigator.
Commenting on his decision to join Exchange Chambers, Julian King said:
“Exchange Chambers is an outstanding Set with particular expertise in the core areas of my practice. With strength in depth across the board, Chambers has a well-deserved reputation for attracting the highest quality work. I am looking forward to further developing my practice.”
Said Tom Handley, Director of Chambers at Exchange Chambers:
“As a former police officer who later retrained as a barrister, Julian has enviable real-world experience to bring to criminal and regulatory cases. His is a welcome addition to Chambers.”
