Julian King in successful Police Misconduct Hearing

Julian King from Exchange Chambers has represented a Police Serjeant at a three-day Misconduct hearing held at Merseyside Police Headquarters.

PS O was alleged to have served a false Statutory Declaration to a Court concerning a Notice of Intended Prosecution. She was further alleged to have failed to notify Professional Standards of a conviction and of omitting information from a vetting form. The Appropriate Authority alleged the Officer had breached the standards of Honesty and Integrity, Orders and Instructions and Discreditable Conduct. After hearing evidence and submissions over three days, the Panel found none of the alleged breaches to be proved.
