James Kinsey becomes a full member at Exchange Chambers
October 1, 2019
James Kinsey has successfully completed his pupillage and has since become a full member at Exchange Chambers in Leeds.
James started his common law pupillage in September 2018, under the supervision of Paul Kirtley. During his non-practising first sixth, he observed a wide range of common law, criminal and regulatory work before focusing on civil and criminal instructions in his second sixth.
During his second six months, James undertook a mixture of criminal and civil work, appearing in both the Magistrates and Crown Court. He has acted for both the Prosecution and Defence in preliminary matters, sentencing hearings, and appeals against conviction and sentence. He also has a developing interest in regulatory work having prosecuted for the DVSA and the Insolvency Service.
Moving forward, James Kinsey is committed to maintaining a mixed practice with a focus on personal injury and crime.
