Imran Shafi secures only acquittal in Halifax grooming trial

Imran Shafi has secured the only acquittal in a grooming trial in Halifax. Following a three week trial before HHJ Marson QC, Mr Shafi’s client was the only defendant to be acquitted of serious sexual offences by the Jury. Operation Harehills was a wide-ranging enquiry generating four separate trials and dozens of defendants.
