Imran Shafi KC secures murder acquittal

Imran Shafi KC, leading Jason MacAdam (both from Exchange Chambers) has secured a not guilty verdict in a murder trial.

The defendant in Operation Cantus admitted stabbing the deceased twice, (once in the heart and once in the liver) in self-defence. Following a two-week trial and forensic cross-examination of a number of prosecution witnesses, the jury accepted the defendant’s account and acquitted him of murder. Imran and Jason were instructed by West Midlands Law.
