Imran Shafi KC secures acquittals on range of serious offences

Imran Shafi KC from Exchange Chambers, leading Hana Ahmed, has secured the acquittal of his client AS on two counts of section 18 and one count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The prosecution arose from a shooting in broad daylight outside The Godfather Cafe in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester. The shooting was alleged to have occurred as a result of feuding between rival drug gangs. The jury is still out in relation to the other defendants following a six week trial.
