Ian Whitehurst successfully represents defendant facing confiscation proceedings

Ian Whitehurst from Exchange Chambers has successfully represented a defendant facing confiscation proceedings at Liverpool Crown Court.
The prosecution were seeking a criminal benefit figure in excess of £750,000 and an available amount of £500,000 based on numerous properties allegedly held by the defendant.
The matter was eventually resolved by agreement between the parties with the criminal benefit figure being agreed at £25,000 and the available amount for the same figure.
