Ian Whitehurst acts as Independent Counsel in ICO GDPR investigation

Ian Whitehurst from Exchange Chambers, instructed by Paul Lewis at DPP Law, acted as Independent Counsel to conduct a review and advise a telephone marketing company subject to investigation by the Information Commissioner’s Office in relation to perceived failures in their compliance with GDPR legislation.

The advice provided by Ian Whitehurst focused upon undertaking effective and practical reforms to the company’s existing compliance systems.

After providing the advice and guidance, which was supplemented in detailed written submissions and amplified in meetings with the ICO by Paul Lewis, it was determined that no further action was required against the company.
