Following the recent application process, Exchange Chambers has a record 64 barristers on the CPS’ 2020-2024 Advocate Panel for General Crime.
Exchange Chambers’ new Level 4 prosecutors – the highest category reserved for barristers able to prosecute the most serious offences – are Alex Menary and Chloe Fordham, both of whom have moved up from Level 3. In total, Exchange has 34 barristers on the Level 4 list.
New entrants to Level 3 are Charlotte Rimmer, Kristian Cavanagh, Fiona Clancy and Eddison Flint, all of whom have progressed from Level 2.
The CPS Advocate Panel arrangements provide a time limited list of quality assured advocates to undertake criminal prosecution advocacy for CPS in the Crown Court and Higher Courts.
The aim of the Panel arrangements is to appoint advocates who have met the selection criteria and have relevant, up to date skills and experience. Any advocate appointed must be able to deliver high quality prosecution advocacy services and have a commitment to meet the aims and objectives of the CPS.
The CPS requires that all prosecution advocates provide advocacy services of the highest quality. This extends beyond technical ability and includes attitudes and behaviours.
In addition, to the 2020-2024 Advocate Panel for General Crime, Exchange Chambers has a range of barristers on the CPS’ RASSO and Specialist Panels covering Serious Crime, Fraud, POCA, Counter Terrorism and Regulatory.
