Exchange Chambers and its members have been shortlisted for a host of major awards at The Legal 500 Bar Awards 2024.

The “Northern Powerhouse” set, based in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, has been shortlisted for Set outside London of the Year. Three barristers from Exchange have also been shortlisted for national awards – Nick Johnson KC (Silk of the year), Ben Myers KC (Crime and extradition silk of the year) and David Knifton KC (Personal injury silk of the year).  It is the second year in succession Ben Myers KC and David Knifton KC have been shortlisted in their respective categories.

“For Nick to be shortlisted in the national Silk of the year category is a truly outstanding achievement,” said Jonathan I’Anson, Chief Executive at Exchange Chambers.  “We are also thrilled to see Ben and David recognised as leaders in their field for the second consecutive year.”

Commenting on Exchange being shortlisted for Set outside London of the Year, Jonathan added:

“As one of the largest and most well-resourced Chambers in England and Wales, our mission is to help both our barristers and instructing solicitors achieve their aims.

“Over the last 12 months our members have been instructed in work of great quality and on many high-profile matters.  We are delighted this has been recognised by The Legal 500.”

The Legal 500 Bar Awards seek to recognise Chambers as a whole across England and Wales.  The awards are determined on merit alone, based on Legal 500’s market-leading independent research, conducted by over 25 in-house and freelance researchers with in-depth knowledge of their practice areas.

The Legal 500 Bar Awards take place on 25 September 2024 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
