Exchange Chambers launches Maternity and Parental Support Mentoring Network
August 10, 2020
Exchange Chambers has launched a maternity and parental support mentoring network for its members.
The new network will provide support for Chambers’ barristers during pregnancy, adoption or foster care, following the arrival of their child and in the lead up to and on return to practice or at any other stage of parenthood.
The network will be run by a leadership team at Exchange Chambers comprising barristers Lisa Linklater, Martine Snowdon, Susanna Kitzing, Sara Sutherland and Catherine Knowles plus Recruitment and Pupillage Manager, Chantal Core.
Commenting on the initiative, Lisa Linklater, chair of the leadership team said:
“This initiative originated in our wellbeing committee and, with the full backing of Chambers’ main board, will support and promote a number of our policies.
“Our support network will introduce sources of support which the barrister or pupil may not naturally come across whether due to practice area, working predominantly remotely or in court or in a different city. It will also assist in supporting the clerks in finding support for barristers where it may help.”
