Eddy Steele secures double guilty verdicts prosecuting a juvenile rape trial

Eddy Steele from Exchange Chambers, instructed by the CPS, has appeared in a two-day trial at a youth court and secured guilty verdicts in respect of both charges of rape.

During summer 2023, Eddy has secured an acquittal of a double-rape allegation whilst defending in a Crown Court jury trial and he has secured convictions whilst prosecuting rape in a youth trial.

Rape and serious sexual assault cases is a specialism and Eddy is well-known for a thorough and conscientious approach when acting as trial advocate, either as a prosecutor or as defence counsel, when dealing with young and/or vulnerable witnesses.

Eddy will appear at a number of rape trials in the coming months.
