Eddison Flint secures acquittal for attempted rape

Eddison Flint from Exchange Chambers has this week secured an acquittal for his client on two of three counts, namely one of attempted rape and one of sexual assault following a three-day trial at York Crown Court.

The case involved detailed analysis of forensic evidence with the scientist from the witness box. The proceedings posed many difficult procedural issues including the involvement of interpreters, intermediaries and a vulnerable complainant.
