David Birrell exposes flaws in disclosure to secure acquittal in firearms trial

David Birrell has secured the acquittal of a client charged with transferring a firearm to a convicted drug trafficker.

In the weeks and months before trial, David repeatedly challenged the disclosure process. His persistence ultimately exposed a serious irregularity and caused the Crown to offer no evidence on the morning of trial.

In addition, David successfully made and resisted numerous legal arguments which significantly improved his client’s position.
