Court of Appeal upholds 5 year manslaughter sentence

John Wyn Williams from Exchange Chambers has successfully argued against any reduction in a five year sentence for manslaughter.

Kevin Gardner, 26, was sentenced to five years after earlier pleading guilty to manslaughter at Chester Crown Court. The Court of Appeal has now upheld the original sentence after his defence lawyers had appealed, arguing it was manifestly excessive.
