Cost litigation specialist Richard Wilcock brings his expertise to Exchange Chambers

We are delighted to welcome costs litigation specialist Richard Wilcock to Exchange Chambers. He comes to chambers with a 20 year background in commercial & costs litigation.
He represents both paying and receiving parties at detailed assessments, appeals and solicitor & client assessments and advises on all aspects of costs including funding, recoverability of additional liabilities, retainers, cost budgeting and security for costs.
Richard is retained counsel for a number of NHS Resolution projects and regularly represents them and the MDU in the County & High Court (SCCO) and appellate courts dealing with high value costs arising out of clinical negligence claims. He has represented the NHS in a number of high profile cases over the years, including Valerie Merrix v Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust [2016], and Murrells v Cambridge NHS Foundation Trust [2016] SCCO.
