Chris Tehrani QC and Julian King secure second Bugzy Malone acquittal

Chris Tehrani QC and Julian King from Exchange Chambers have secured a second acquittal of music and film artist Bugzy Malone.

A five-day trial at Bristol Crown Court concluded with a unanimous Not Guilty verdict. The grime artist, who recently concluded a UK tour, had faced an earlier separate trial in September 2021 where he was also found not guilty.

On Friday 17th December the Bristol jury returned their not guilty verdict having heard an allegation that (real name) Aaron Davies, had occasioned actual bodily harm against a member of the public, in the evening following his 2019 Glastonbury performance. The court heard that Mr Davies was assaulted and it was alleged that the response to the assault went beyond reasonable self defence.
