Chris Richards successfully represents man injured in workplace accident
October 14, 2019
Chris Richards from Exchange Chambers has successfully represented a man injured in a serious workplace accident.
The Claimant had been working for a local authority. In the moments before the accident, the Claimant had been moving forks on a forklift. The forks were heavy and difficult to move. As the Claimant moved the forks, the forks fell back and crushed two of his fingers. The local authority denied responsibility for the accident and argued that the Claimant was to blame.
The claim was fought all the way to trial. Chris proved that the local authority had failed to provide the Claimant with appropriate training. The successful Claimant was awarded over £14,000 in damages and costs.
Chris Richards is a member of the personal injury department at Exchange Chambers, and was instructed by Pattinson & Brewer Solicitors.
