Exchange Chambers has continued to strengthen its eighty strong criminal department by welcoming Charlotte Rimmer as a new member.
Charlotte joins Exchange Chambers from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), where she was Head of Rape and Serious Sexual Offences for the North West.
After completing her pupillage with the CPS in 2008, Charlotte quickly progressed through the organisation, leading Crown Court teams in Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria, before becoming Head of Rape and Serious Sexual Offences for the North West. She has experience handling the full range of criminal offences, including homicide, fraud, serious violence, drug supply and serious sexual abuse and brings with her a reputation for excellence.
Commenting on her decision to join Exchange Chambers, Charlotte Rimmer said:
“The criminal department at Exchange has such extraordinary strength in depth. From my own experience of instructing members of Chambers, the service provided is always first rate and they really do stand out from the competition. I am absolutely delighted to become a member.”
Said Tom Handley, CEO at Exchange Chambers:
“Though Charlotte has many years of experience in prosecution work and understands what it takes to offer the best possible service to a prosecution client, she is also keen to develop a fully-rounded practice and put to use her knowledge of the prosecution process in a defence setting. Experienced in overseeing the most sensitive of cases, she is particularly skilled in matters involving children, youths and vulnerable adults.”
