September 25, 2019
Charlotte Atherton from Exchange Chambers was part of a distinguished panel at last night’s First 100 Years of Women in Law event organised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Bar Council.
Attendees had the opportunity to listen and engage with inspiring speakers from across the criminal justice system including other panel members Lady Justice Nicola Davies, HHJ Anuja Dhir and Chair-Elect of the Bar, Amanda Pinto QC.
Commenting on the First 100 Years event, Charlotte Atherton said:
“It was an honour to share a platform with so many inspirational women.
“This year marks a momentous anniversary for our legal system – 100 years since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919, which paved the way for women in this country to become lawyers for the first time.
“This event celebrated those women of past, present and future.”
Charlotte is a member of the criminal department at Exchange Chambers.
