Chambers links up with Liverpool University for Mock Trial Competition
March 30, 2015
Barristers from Exchange Chambers were delighted to assist the finalists at the Liverpool University Law Society Mock Trials Competition.
William Waldron QC and Nicholas Walker were part of a team from Exchange Chambers who gave talks to law students, judged earlier stages of the competition and mentored teams in the lead up to the final.
Nicholas Walker said: “This is something we do every year and we see it as a fantastic opportunity to allow students to get to know what barristers actually do and give them the chance to perform the roles of prosecution and defence counsel in Mock Trials. It helps demystify a profession that can seem strange to an outsider. It is particularly rewarding to see students who may not have thought about a career at the Bar visiting the Crown Court, seeing barristers at work and expressing a desire one day to join the profession.”
