Benjamin Myers QC comments on JUSTICE report on Complex and Lengthy Criminal Trials
March 7, 2016
On the 3rd March JUSTICE launched its report on Complex and Lengthy Criminal Trials, chaired by Sir David Calvert-Smith. As a member of the Working Party that produced the Report, Benjamin Myers QC explains that in addition to addressing the continuing challenge of managing the largest and most complex cases, the Report resonates in a timely fashion with the introduction of the Better Case Management and Digital Case System in the criminal courts. The shift from paper based systems of information management and case presentation to digital systems is an inevitable process. The JUSTICE report looks at this in the context of the specialist challenges that arise in the largest and most complex trials.
